This cross has been passed along to us from the incredibly versatile and well worked genetic library of Ron Herrington of Gold Hat Seeds, a life long breeder based in Alberta, Canada. Ron crossed the New Jersey cut of Sour Diesel with a best overall category winner at Spannabis, Red Runtz. He then crossed that with his Mac1 (Miracle Alien Cookies) line that originally came from a southern Oregon cut. The Sour D / Red Runtz solved the overly stretchy problem that Mac1 presents. Dank, herbal, and sour terps abound. One of the best qualities of this cross is that terps hold and improve over time, thus making it an apt choice for commericial viability. This strain has tight bud structure which lends great bag appeal for finished flower but can present mold issues in late flower cycle rain events. This is one of Ron's favorites and will be one of the first of his genetics we're releasing at all, in the summer of 23' through a grow along being hosted on the Future Cannabis Project.
I've worked with Super Sour Runtz for a few cycles now, and I'm consistently impressed by its potential. The buds are tight and have great bag appeal, but I do need to keep a close eye on them during late flower to prevent mold issues. Overall, it's a great strain for those who know what they're doing.
I was blown away by the quality of the Super Sour Runtz seed pack. The genetics are truly exceptional, and I've seen impressive yields and terpene profiles in my commercial grow. The dank, herbal, and sour terps are consistent and improve over time, making it a great choice for large-scale production.
I'm really impressed by Super Sour Runtz - the yields are huge, and the buds are incredibly flavorful. I've been using it for a few cycles now, and I've consistently seen great results. My only complaint is that it can be a bit finicky during late flower, but overall it's a great strain.
