Mendo Breath is a classic strain from Mendocino county that we love for its earlier finishing time and its compact size that requires far less trellising. We took a high testing cut of Mendo Breath and crossed it onto itself. We then grew them out and selected a plant that was slightly earlier finishing and had a higher potency and louder terps than the original cut. We took our new selection and backcrossed it with the original clone and now we offer it to you. Notes of vanilla candy and caramel on the nose with an earthy/spice undertone on the smoke. This plant will purple up nicely on the finish and offers great bag appeal due to the thick frosty coating of tiny white trichomes.
The thick coat of tiny white trichomes makes these buds shimmer like diamonds. It smokes very smooth with a heavy, relaxing effect and a sweet, earthy undertone. My only minor issue was one pheno took slightly longer to finish, but the rest were right on time.
This backcross is an absolute masterpiece. The sweet vanilla candy aroma is super loud right out of the jar, followed by a spicy finish when smoked. Every single seed popped quickly and grew with incredible vigor.
I was skeptical about the early finish claim, but these outdoor plants wrapped up a full week ahead of my other runs. The trichome density is insane, making the buds look almost white before the purple hue set in during late flower. The sweet vanilla nose on this phenotype is absolutely delicious.
